Our current social initiatives are as follows:

Trade Unions


Free schooling is provided by Sharaf’er Patshala for children of workers’ and staff children at MG Shirtex and MGNSL.


MGA has subsidized higher education of nine female formerly factory employees at the Asian University for Women. In addition to tuition, MGA provides these students their living costs and educational expenses (such as purchase of laptops) and a stipend that is equivalent to what they would have earned if they were working.


MGA has invested in a Skill Development Centre at MGNSL, which has been approved by Bangladesh Technical Education Board. It can accommodate 25 learners per batch.


Each year, the MGA production units host Cultural Programs where employees showcase their talents and awards are presented.


At the Fair Price Shop, workers can purchase cosmetics and groceries at a 10-15% discount.


Monthly and annual attendance bonuses have been an established practice at MGA, prior to this becoming the law.


In conjunction with Doctor Bari (Edison Healthcare), we have provided free diagnosis tuberculosis, breast cancer & test of CBC, and WBC.
